Then it might be because you have an Anterior Pelvic Tilt ❗️
This is a very common issue amongst majority of the women that we coach which can be preventing you from building an 🍑 and living a pain free life!
What is it? 🤔
An Anterior Pelvic Tilt is when your pelvis rotates forward ⤵️.
Just imagine what the tension that you feel in your lower back when you try to stick your butt out. 🤳
What causes this? 😯
The main cause is from tight/overactive quad, lower back, and lats.
Habits like excessive sitting (desk job) and society norms like sticking your 🍑 out when standing/walking will cause this to naturally happen.
Why is this a problem? 🤷♀️
When your pelvis is anteriorly tilted, this has an effect on the rest of your body like your posture.
It can cause severe lower back pain 💢, especially if your doing heavy weight training (which every Infitnite Warrior in the gym should be doing) as well as when your sitting, standing, walking, or running.
How do you fix it? 🤔
You can fix your Anterior Pelvic Tilt by strengthening your glutes, abs, and hamstrings.
Here we have one of our Infitnite Certified Warriors performing Banded Elevated Sumo Deadlifts with a resistance band.
The resistance band is used to pull her waist back so that she squeezes forward and activates her glutes.
Adding elevation reduces the range of motion which shifts the focus away from the quads at the bottom position of the movement and to the glutes at the top position of the movement.
Head position is important for keeping your spine straight and pelvis even 👌🏽
Fixing your Anterior Pelvic Tilt is not as simple as just doing a couple exercises and it will take some time to fix on your own...
