In 2006, @shaunt was the man that motivated me to begin my fat loss journey!
Back then I was just a shy quiet kid just looking for answers…
I remember wanting to go sign up to play football before going into high school and they told me I couldn’t because I was over the weight maximum…
I always did everything that I wanted to do. I played soccer, basketball, and even studied martial arts, but I couldn’t play football.
Tell a shy quiet kid that he can’t do something because of his weight and that’ll mentally devastate them…
But this moment sparked a fire inside my soul! 🔥
I became obsessed with everything about fitness. I asked myself, who are the leanest and strongest people in the world? Athletes and Bodybuilders.
I began researching workouts from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Frank Zane, and Ronnie Coleman. I created a database of workouts. I researched and learned something new every single day and it’s something that I still do today.
However, research is pointless without application and I had no idea how to lift weights.
Then randomly, I found a home workout program that will help me get the body I want and it only required my body weight.
It was called INSANITY!
I jumped and flailed around for hours upon hours dripping buckets of sweat. No matter how many times I wanted to give up, Shaun T told me to keep going.
My body completely changed!
For years I made this my go to workout whenever I wanted to drop weight. It didn’t matter where I was. In the dorm room in college, in my apartment, or even at my friends place.
As long as I had a TV, then I can do Insanity!
Over a decade later, I had the opportunity to not only see Shaun T, but to shake his hand, look him in the eye, and thank him for changing my life.
Life truly does come full circle.
I wouldn’t be the Coach that I am today if I never had a Coach to push my limits, challenge my mind, and show me the way.
