2011
Deep inside your heart is a power that can fuel you infinitely. It’s not just any power, it’s the kind that comes from moments of profound clarity. Moments where your heart, mind, and soul align in a way that forever changes the trajectory of your life.
These moments are rare. You can’t force them.
But when they happen, they ignite a fire that can never be extinguished.
I’ve been fortunate to have several such moments. The one I’m about to share with you isn’t just another story. It’s the moment I flipped the switch. The moment I unlocked my inner Warrior and rewrote my destiny.
The year was 2011. I was a freshman at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, caught in the whirlwind of newfound freedom. Late-night parties, fried cafeteria food, and chronic sleep deprivation became my routine. At first, it felt liberating. But like anyone who’s been an athlete, I eventually hit a wall.
You know the wall.
It’s the moment you realize your body isn’t what it used to be.
Motivated by that sinking feeling, I decided to work out again.
My first session back was brutal. Halfway through, I was so drained that I stumbled into the bathroom, on the brink of vomiting. There, I found myself face-to-face with the mirror, staring at someone I no longer recognized.
It wasn’t just my physical reflection that I saw. I saw my actions, my choices, my wasted potential. I saw someone who wasn’t living up to who they could be.
And it hurt.
That pain was my wake-up call. In that moment, I understood something with absolute clarity: I am the only one who controls my life.
No one else was responsible for my unhappiness.
No one else could change my future.
I made a decision right then and there. I would never be that person again. Not only would I transform myself, but I would dedicate my life to helping others who felt stuck, just like I had.
To cement the moment, I pulled out my phone, sucked in my gut, and took a picture. That photo wasn’t just a snapshot. It was a declaration. A promise. A reminder of the person I refused to ever be again.
That was the day I flipped the switch.
But here’s the truth no one tells you: Flipping the switch is only the beginning.
It wasn’t a magic moment that instantly changed my life. It wasn’t the kind of epiphany where everything suddenly became easy. That decision was the start of something much harder, a daily fight to live out that choice, even when I didn’t want to.
I couldn’t force the moment of clarity that hit me in the bathroom. But from that moment on, I had to force myself to act on it. Every time I stumbled. Every time I doubted. Every time I hit another wall. That’s the real battle of transformation: choosing to keep going, even when it feels impossible.
You see, the goal isn’t to find a quick fix. It’s to radically shift the way you live.
You have to understand that the actions that brought you to your current state will keep you there unless you change them. And I mean really change them. Not small adjustments. Not minor tweaks.
You must look at yourself and confront the truth.
See the habits that drain your mind of clarity. The neglect that has dulled your body’s strength. The fear or avoidance that keeps your spirit shackled. If you resist these truths, they will persist. Carl Jung said it best: “What you resist, not only persists, but will grow in size.”
The things you refuse to acknowledge. The excuses, the patterns, the lies you tell yourself to stay comfortable that will only take deeper root.
You must confront these shadows. Not run from them, but face them. Name them for what they are, and reject the hold they have on you.
The truth is, you need to hit rock bottom, even if you have to fabricate it in your mind.
Get brutally honest with yourself. Identify every weight that holds you back. The noise in your mind that keeps you from clarity. The fatigue in your body that whispers defeat. The avoidance in your spirit that hides from true growth.
Reject them.
This is where transformation begins: not in fighting the shadows but in acknowledging them, understanding their source, and choosing to rise above them.
It’s okay to be negative. In fact, negative energy can be incredibly powerful when channeled correctly. Let that disgust with your current state become the fuel for your transformation.
But don’t stop there.
Pair that fire with focus. Use the clarity of what you don’t want to envision what you do. Balance your dissatisfaction with a vision of who you want to become.
For me, that vision was simple but powerful.
I wanted strength, not just in my body but in my mind and spirit. I wanted purpose, passion, and resilience. I wanted to be someone who inspires others, someone who embodies the Warrior mindset every single day.
That vision became my compass.
It guided every decision I made. It kept me going when the path was hard, when discomfort felt unbearable, when doubt crept in.
Transformation isn’t about quick wins. It’s about consistent action over time.
Discomfort sparks transformation. Pain causes the most growth.
And yes, pain is a blessing. It’s your body and mind telling you that something needs to change.
But transformation also requires preparation. You can’t just flip the switch and hope for the best. You need clarity. You need direction. You need to see your path forward as vividly as you see the pain in your present.
Flipping the switch isn’t magic. It’s the spark. The real magic is what happens after.
It’s in the moments when you want to quit but don’t. The moments when you stumble but get back up. The moments when you face failure and force yourself to take one more step, one more rep, one more action toward the life you want.
When I look back on that moment in 2011, I realize it wasn’t just a bad day. It was the best day of my life. That moment of pain, that reflection in the mirror, that picture on my phone. It all set me on a path I never imagined.
Without that moment, I wouldn’t have built the system I now call INFITNITE.
I wouldn’t have dedicated my life to helping others become Warriors in their own right.
I wouldn’t be here, telling you this story.
So, here’s my challenge to you:
Look in the mirror. See what needs to change. Let yourself feel the pain of where you are right now. But don’t stop there. Use it. Channel it. Let it push you toward who you want to become.
Flip the switch.
Then keep flipping it. Every day. Every moment you doubt yourself. Every time you face failure.
Start today. Your journey begins now. Become the Warrior you were meant to be.
