Meet Josh Ruiz-Velasco, he is a world champion indoor skydiver and professional skydiving athlete. He travels the world coaching, training, and competing. For those of you who don’t know what indoor skydiving is exactly, it’s a vertical wind tunnel that acts as a skydiving simulator for first timers and experienced skydivers to fly and train. The new sport of indoor skydiving has made some rapid changes in the last few years, going international with competitions.
Josh grew up in Federal Way, Washington doing all kinds of sports: bmx, diving, soccer, dirt biking and a few more. Josh has always dreamed of being a world class athlete in many disciplines. But God had different plans for him. While attending college he was offered a part time position at iFLY seattle in Tukwila. His first time in the wind he fell in love and knew that he wanted to fly for many years to come. Josh started competing a year later at a intermediate level. He left the US to better himself as an athlete and trainer, traveling to Warsaw, Poland. There he trained and met some of the best athletes in this sport. He started a team and began to compete at the international level putting all his new skills to the test. Having his eyes set on the world championship, he wanted to supplement his training outside of the wind tunnel. Josh began using the Walt Workout app and frequently training with Walt while home in WA. This brought Josh to peak fitness levels, earning him back to back world titles.
Having achieved his goals, Josh has integrated Walt’s nutrition and work out plans into his daily life for healthy living.
