How to become the Main Character in Life's Role Playing Game
Sandbox
You’re a character in the game whether you choose to play it or not. You can either choose how to play or you can have someone else choose for you. Your experience in the world is defined by the rules that you follow and the actions that you take. Imagine being placed inside of a box where the rules are like invisible walls. These barriers are designed to control your actions and prevent you from escaping the box. The creators of this world have you and other characters in this box because the more freedom that you have, the less control that they have over you. The box is linear and it can’t be changed. However, you can decide if you want to try and break through the barriers to reveal the open world that lies beyond it.
Open World
The beauty of freedom is the limitless ability to explore, take risks, and pursue anything that your heart desires. No matter how many obstacles you must hurdle over, no matter how many risky choices you make, no matter how many times you fail, there’s always a way to continue your story. Failure is part of the game. It makes you comfortable around uncertainty which gives you the confidence to take risks. Failure gives you the freedom to engage with new ideas and strategies that ultimately leads to rare rewards. Failure doesn’t define you, it’s part of life. Take risks, fail, learn from your mistakes, develop new strategies, and play the game your way.
